Our Cellar

2012 Blanc de Blanc

The 2012 Blanc de Blanc is our first sparkling wine and is dedicated to our mothers Elizabeth and Esthere and grandmother Esther. Barrel fermented and tiraged on site and disgorged after 3 years on lees. A very pleasing outcome and a wine for that special occasion.“Fermentation and maturation for 6 months in barrels, followed by 3 years on lees has coaxed out spicy, toasty, biscuity nuances from this tightly honed lemon-accented style of surprisingly pale straw hue. Finely textured structure and excellent, bright acidity denote a long and linear finish” James Halliday Wine Companion Rating 92

2017 Colombard

Generous example of the variety with lemon, honeysuckle and exotic mango flavours dancing across the palate. Plenty of cut and run to the finish but the palate has texture, interest and style. Halliday Wine Companion - Rating 91

Bouquet of talc infuses with a crunchy textural palate, complemented with nashi pear crispness - enjoy with light seafood or as a refreshing drink on Summer evenings.

2018 Colombard

Aromas of freshly cut table grapes and tropical fruit salad. Light tropical fruitiness on the palate, zesty acidity completes the picture

2021 Colombard

Bright green gold. Lemon, grapefruit and ripe nectarine aromas are to the fore in this straightforward, dry and refreshing wine. A decent summer quaffer

2017 Chardonnay

“Sweet oak and peach driven fruit make for a bigger, sunnier style than has become the norm. It’s not quite old school, but it’s certainly inspired by chardonnay styles of yore, and will appeal to those looking for a white with body and richness” – Halliday Wine Companion Rating 92

2021 Chardonnay

Barrel fermented and matured in new and one-year-old French oak. Bright green gold. Ripe with aromas of fleshy yellow nectarines, freshly cut pineapple and a little vanillin and butterscotch. These follow onto the gently opulent, equally ripe palate. Already drinking well, a fine thread of acidity runs through the wine keeping it balanced and fresh. Rating 89

2022 Chardonnay

Barrel fermented and matured in second year French oak. A light green gold. Ripe orchard fruits, orange blossom and gentle vanillin scents. Creamy textured, this quite unctuous, fruit-forward yet balanced wine will be at its best over the next two to three years - Rating 88

2015 Cabernet Franc

Intense crimson appearance with ripe purple fruits and herbaceous notes; dusty tannins complemented by hints of menthol and vanillin oak. James Halliday Wine Companion Rating 88 – Diam Cork

2017 Cabernet Franc

“A pleasant, light to medium-bodied red with jubey, berried flavours, a dusting of grassy herbs its appeal is in its simple, juicy fruit.”

James Halliday Wine Companion Rating 88 – Diam Cork

2013 Cabernet Sauvignon

Medium bodied and brightened by cranberry/redcurrant flavours. Eucalypt notes add lift; infusions of herbs are little more than glancing blows. Tannin keeps the picture neat. James Halliday Wine Companion - Rating 94

2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

“sweet Ribena and mint with choc-cream oak smoothing it all over” James Halliday Wine Companion Rating 89 – Diam Cork

2013 Shiraz

Deep, dense colour, bright rim; the colour inspires confidence, the bouquet builds on that, and the medium to full-bodied palate duly delivers a wine of real class; it is supple and rich, with satsuma plum, blackberry, pepper and a touch of black licorice built on a latticework of ripe tannins and integrated oak - Halliday Wine companion - Rating 96

2015 Shiraz

“A wine of bouncy purple and blue fruits as a result of a gentle extraction regime. Some oak and pepper-infused acidity frame the pulpy fruit, almost like biting into a ripe bunch of grapes that makes this mid-weighted wine fun to drink.” James Halliday Wine Companion Rating 91 – Diam Cork
